Test Proctoring Policy
Test Proctoring is available at the Lamar Branch.
Test Proctoring Policy
1. Tests may be administered Monday through Friday during the library's operating hours. The test must be completed 30 minutes before the library closes.
2. Testing appointments must be made in person a minimum of one week before the requested testing date.
3. There is a per test fee that may be paid at the time test appointments are made. Fees are non-refundable if the student does not attend the test appointment.
4. The Library reserves the right to cancel or change the date of any proctor test due to inclement weather, computer malfunctions, etc.
5. The student must contact the issuing institution to ensure that the examination and other required materials are sent to the proctor before any tests are taken. The Library is not responsible for the content of tests that are emailed to the proctor.
6. At the time of testing, the student must provide current photo identification (the name on the identification must match the name on the testing materials), and all supplies necessary to complete the exam.
7. The Library may provide a computer for online testing. Library computer settings will not be modified and installation of special software will not be allowed to accommodate an online test.
8. During the test, the proctor will periodically monitor the student and enforce any time limits or other rules assigned to the test. The use of electronic devices and talking with other patrons will not be permitted.
9. The proctor will not sign a proctoring statement that attests to more than they are able to do, and will not enter his/her personal information on the proctoring materials.
10. At the conclusion of the test, the proctor will return it to the issuing institution. The Library is not responsible for completed tests once they have been mailed. It is the student’s responsibility to determine if the test was received by the institution.
11. The Library will not incur any costs for administering or returning tests.
