Adults (18 years or older)
Library cards may be issued to anyone 18 years or older who signs a Barton County Library Card Application and presents the following:
-A Photo ID including a valid driver's license or a Missouri state identification card
-Proof of Barton County address including a current bank statement/utility bill or current first-class piece of mail
Children (age 17 and under)
Library cards may be issued to children age 17 and under provided:
-the card application is signed by the parent or legal guardian
-the parent or legal guardian can produce, at the time of application, the same picture ID and current address verification as described above
-the parent or legal gaurdian has no fines or materials due on any card for which they are responsible
-the parent or legal guardian will be responsible for any materials checked out on the child’s card
A parent or legal guardian must sign the library card application for children aged seventeen or younger. With this signature, the parent or legal guardian assumes responsibility for all use made of the card. The parent or legal guardian may be given access to information in the child’s record.
Non-resident Cards
Any person who does not live in or own property within Barton County may purchase a library
card for a non-resident fee. The annual fee covers all family members residing at the same address. Please call your local branch for the current Non-resident Card fee.
Replacement Cards
Your first Library Card is free. There is a small fee to replace a lost card. Please call your local branch for the current Replacement Card fee.
